Senior class treasurer Nick Pedro’s leadership skills and outgoing personality are going to bring him far in his future.

Nick originally started his student government career in student council his freshman year but says, “I loved student council and being involved in my class. I thought that moving forward I would want to be even more involved and try running for a class officer position.”

Pedro has applied to Bentley University, Bryant University, Sacred Heart University, The University of Massachusetts Amherst and The University of Connecticut. He hopes that his strong background in mathematics will take him to the University of Connecticut to major in finance.

In addition to his mathematics background, Pedro is a member of the NAHS chapter of the Foreign Language Nation Honor Society. He has earned a bronze medal on the National Spanish Exam his freshman year, and a silver medal his junior year.

A member of the 2015 Hockomock Champion Red Rockets football team, Pedro plays linebacker and guard. Junior teammate Tom Vidal says “Pedro is a great, hardworking teammate, we are very lucky to have him.”

In the spring, he is a third baseman for the baseball team. “I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old. Growing up a Red Sox and Phillies fan, baseball is one of my favorite things about the spring and summer.” Pedro says his baseball is his favorite season.
