According to Dictionary.com ”a goat is a noun that is described as a hardy domesticated ruminant animal that has backward curving horns”. When people talk about Tom Brady, we are not talking about this hardy domesticated ruminant animal, we are talking about the Greatest of All Time.

Being a five-time Super Bowl winner, four-time Super Bowl MVP, and the most winning quarterback to ever play in the National Football League could make you the G.O.A.T.
Tom Brady, born in San Francisco, grew up loving football. Not being heavily recruited out of high school, Brady played at the University of Michigan as a three-year starter.

Continuing be underrated his entire life, he was drafted in 2000, in the sixth round, at pick 199. He was drafted by Bill Belichick and the Patriots, adding another quarterback to their three-quarterback deep roster.

When Tom Brady introduced himself to Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, Mr. Kraft knew who he was. According to 30 for 30, Mr. Kraft said, “I know who you are. Your our 6th round draft choice.” Brady replied by saying, “Yeah that’s right, and I’m the best decision this organization has ever made.”

Tom Brady was and still is the best decision the Patriots have ever made. To be the G.O.A.T, you must contain the characteristics of winning. To win a football game is hard enough, but winning the most games ever by a quarterback is even harder.

Many people could sit down and list all of Tom Brady’s records and drool over him similar to what most people in New England do. Besides his accomplishments, it’s also about the intangibles. Intangibles in simpler terms said by Don Shay, “We don’t know what it is, but he’s got it.”

The reasons behind Tom Brady being the G.O.A.T is because of his intangibles. Brady has the ability to drive down the field with 46 seconds left in possibly the biggest game of his life, and not flinch. Any quarterback in the league can hit a man that is open by five yards, but can they do it when the receiver is open by two yards? Can they do it while being hit?

Tom Brady can.

Many people would say that even if Tom Brady has all of the intangibles, he still isn’t the best quarterback of all time. However, facts can’t lie, and the facts show that Tom Brady is the best.

Tom Brady has won more Super Bowls than any quarterback in history. Not only that, but all five of his Super Bowl victories consisted of him coming from behind. He is the best quarterback of all time because in any situation in the game, he has the ability to come back.

In just this previous Super Bowl, Brady and the Patriots were down 28-3 with 3 minutes left in the third quarter. Many people would count the Patriots, and any other team in the NFL, out. However, the Patriots have one thing on their sideline that no other team has: Tom Brady. Brady lead his team to the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history, and sealed his legacy as the best quarterback to ever play the game.

At the age of 40, right when you think he’s out of it, he’s back in it. Right when you believe you have him beat, he beats you. The “comeback kid” is reborn week after week because of the intangibles.

Tom Brady is without question the greatest quarterback currently playing in the league, and the greatest to ever play the game. He has the records, the stats, the wins, the intangibles and five Lombardi Trophies. His resume lacks absolutely nothing. At the end of the day, all that matters is how he performs on the field, and the way he performs on the field is the reason he is the G.O.A.T.
