The NAHS basketball team is looking to have a great season this year after ending last season with a season record of 9-11. The captains of the team are Josh Porter and Ethan Freiberg. When asked about their expectations for the season Josh said, “I’m excited about the season. We just got the gym floors redone and tryouts are beginning this week. We should have some pretty good freshman coming up.”
The North Attleboro boys basketball team has never really been a powerhouse team in the Hockomock League, but this year they are expecting to compete and be able to make it to the playoffs, hopefully, end the season with a winning record. Head Coach Mulkerins and the two captains have been in communication with the upcoming players, telling them what they can expect throughout the season. They want this season to be organized and fast-paced in practices and games.
The schedule this year is not an easy one either. They start out the season with a tough game against Taunton who they barely beat in the past few years. The players are ready for another dogfight and they are expecting the opposing team to bring all they have. The Taunton basketball team last year had a good season and ended up doing better than North Attleboro in the end, but the NABB boys want to redeem themselves and finish at the top of the league above Taunton and all the other teams in the division.
The players on the NABB team are excited for another great season and are hoping the bleachers will be full every game in with students and parents giving them support. The first home game of the season will be held at the NAHS gymnasium on December 13 against their rival Taunton. Senior night will be held on February 14 against Foxboro.
