Best Affordable Vacation Spots

Do you want to go on a relaxing vacation with nice weather, beaches, and to make fun memories? Well these top five places are some great ideas that are affordable. 



  • Florida


Florida is a very popular place for families and friend groups to visit. It has great beaches to get a tan and the water is just right. It also has amazing weather with it constantly being mid 80’s. Florida has great places to eat that are affordable. If you are around Orlando, Tako Cheena is a very well known restaurant that has four and a half stars, according to Yelp. The restaurant serves Pan-Asian tacos and burritos. If you do not like tacos there is a sandwich shop, Pom Pom’s Teahouse and Sandwicheria, also in Orlando that is cheap.  

Florida has Disney World which is a theme park with a bunch of roller coasters and Disney characters such as Disney’s princesses, Toy Story characters, and many others. Lauren Raffa, 16, loves Disney World and says, “I love the rides, the vibes, the experience, and the hotels are impeccable.” 



  • Mexico


Mexico is another place that has amazing weather and beautiful views. It is a great tropical place to go on vacation. Most of Mexico’s hotels are right on the water, all-inclusive, and have entertainment for everyone at the hotel at night. A majority of the hotels and resorts have restaurants in them but according to Trip Advisor some popular affordable places to eat are Tostadas de Coyoacan, which serves Mexican food, Pasteleria Madrid, which is a bakery, and several other good restaurants. There are also a bunch of cool activities to do while there. You can do parasailing, diving, shopping, and so much more, as stated in Goatsontheroad. 

Kaley Gorman,  20, who has been to Cancun multiple times, states “ I love Mexico, the weather and beaches. I usually hate going in the water but it looked so clean and it was just the right temperature. I would definitely go back.”  



  • New York 


If you love sightseeing, then New York is the right spot for you! New York City is a spot that will give you memories you will never forget. You can watch the ABC news live, go to the M&M store, Lego store, American Girl store, and more. 

Another important location in New York  is the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The museum requires tickets, but you can see where the Twin Towers were and read all the names of people who were killed in the 2001 terrorist attacks. 

Another fun activity to do while in New York is visit the Statue of Liberty. People are allowed to be in the statue and walk up the 20 stories to get to the crown or take an elevator to the pedestal level. With all this touring around the city you might be hungry. Scarr’s Pizza and Casa Barilla are popular restaurants that are not expensive. 

Alyssa Freitas, 18, who has recently been to New York, states, “New York was so cool when I went there. I loved all the shops, the food, and just feeling what it is like to be in a city.” 


  1. Punta Cana 

Punta Cana is located in the Dominican Republic. This place is another tropical vacation that has amazing views and is very fun. It has great weather, but the best time to go is March through May because November through January is hurricane season. Going during the peak travel months is great because you can get your tan on at their nice beaches and relax while everyone back home is either bundled up or inside. Their waterfront resorts are inexpensive, and while you’re there you’ll be able to horseback riding, zipline tour, Parasailing, Safari tour, and more due to Expedia. Even though the resorts have a place where you can eat there are some other options for you. According to Yelp, Kat’s Corner which is a breakfast place, El Sabor Venezolano, Plaza Italia, and many other restaurants.

  1. New Hampshire

  New Hampshire is a great place to go all year round. In the summer you can go jet skiing, paddle-boarding, tubing, zip-lining, and a lot more fun activities by their lakes or in the White Mountains. The hotels there are very nice and inexpensive. There are also a lot of nice and good restaurants to go to, such as, Sal’s Pizza, Xing Wang, Smokeshow Barbecue, and others. Winter in New Hampshire is also very fun. There are skiing resorts, ice fishing, you can visit ice castles, and go snowmobiling.

  Julia Horrocks, whose family owns a condo in Lake Winnipesaukee says, “ I love New Hampshire. The vibe of it, all the traditions me and my family do, and all the memories I make while I’m up there.” 


These five vacation spots are just the start of where to look to visit. All of them will give you unforgettable memories and you will have a lot of fun.
