As Christmas shopping has officially begun, friends and families are in need of gift ideas for their loved ones. If you are struggling to find a gift for the holidays, you’ve come to the right place.
Although shopping for children may be easy seeing as many kids love all their toys they are given, my neighbor Cailtyn Whalley provided me with the Christmas list for her two young boys. She said, “My boys are asking for Nerf guns, Legos, and books.” If you are shopping for someone asking for a Nerf gun or Legos, the toy aisle at Walmart is a great place to take a look at. The Unlikely Story is a very popular book store in Plainville that would be recommended to shop at when looking for any type of book.
After asking her two boys what they were asking for for Christmas this year, they said, “We both really want skateboards and some new toys.”
When shopping for a middle schooler, you may not know what to get them. Middle schoolers can be a little picky with the things they are asking for. North Attleboro Nikki DeGuilio, gave me a sneak peak of her daughter’s Christmas list for Santa. Although some items on her list will not be given to her, she said that her daughter is asking for “pointe shoes for dance, iPhone 12 Pro, another puppy, a bathrobe, a dance studio in her basement, and acrylic nails.” Her daughter is a dancer, so ideally any dance related items will do.
As the PlayStation 5 was released in November, many teens are asking for the new PlayStation for Christmas this year. Although it may be on the more expensive side, it is a gift that any teen will make use of. Another popular Christmas gift of 2020 is a karaoke microphone. When you have nothing else to do on a friday night, why not sing your hearts out?
After talking to senior Annelise Grunewald, she said that she isn’t asking for anything specific. With many restrictions from COVID, she has spent much of her time going shopping with her friends, which has led her to not be in need of very much this Christmas season. Although, she was able to give me a few things on her list. She said, “I am asking for an electric scooter, clothes, and shoes.”
When shopping for a teenager, you may not be sure what to get them, but most teens could never get enough clothes, especially teenage girls. Some popular stores that many teens enjoy shopping at include American Eagle, Hollister, Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and The Paper Store.
As stores are giving deals for the holidays, be sure to hit the favorites on your Christmas list. What gifts are top on your list this year?
